Scientific research

The “Bory Tucholskie” National Park has been rendered available for scientific research since 1997. Scientific research is conducted in compliance with rules for scientific exploration and scientific research coordination on the area of the “Bory Tucholskie” National Park (full wording of the regulation setting forth that matter is available at http://bip.pnbt.com.pl/ or may be downloaded from below). In case of the intention of reporting a scientific work in the Park, one shall submit a Scientific Research Charter, and subsequently the Council of the Park issues its opinion on a given research application on the basis of which the Director of the Park issues his or her decision on the execution of a given research. The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, the University of Gdańsk, the University of Łódź, and the Voivodship Inspectorate of Environmental Protection. Master degree and bachelor degree theses as well as student internship, scientific camps and other camps intended for better understanding nature phenomena, as well as first of all for inventorying natural resources and reporting their numbers in the form of monitoring observation are constantly held on the area of the Park.
